Workshops are the core of the Seminar and, alongside the Round Tables, they determine its outcomes.

They benefit from the contributions of the general talks and from the contributions of participants. Each workshop leader chooses from amongst all the contributions presented to the Seminar the ones he or she considers most relate to the Workshop he or she leads. The Workshop leader also helps the Raporteurs as to collect what emerges from the presentations at the PanelTalks.

The Workshops will divide their discussions into four major areas:

  1. a general view of the problems and solutions to be found within the workshop topic;
  2. a preliminary discussion of the most important problems and solutions to be found within the Workshop topic;
  3. a detailed insight into some of the specific aspects of the most important problems and solutions;
  4. a general summary.

Points 1 and 2 will take place on the first afternoon while points 3 and 4 will be in the second afternoon and/or in the other Sessions.

It is expected that the same group of people participates in the whole workshop. A turnover of no more than 25% of participants is allowed. For this reason, each workshop leader will organise a summary of the first two sessions, before the beginning of the later ones.
The opportunity to follow more than one Workshop is also given by the fact that some Workshops are shorter than others. For example WA, WB, WC, … will last for 12 hours, while others only for 4-8 hours, because they will use activities developed in another session or because they will continue their interest in another workshop.
The website forum will work on some elements to start discussion in the Workshop itself.
