13. GENERAL INFORMATION
SECRETARIAT OF THE SEMINAR IN SALA FLORIO AT PALAZZO FLORIO
The Secretariat is open in the Sala Florio at Palazzo
Florio, with the following timetable:

REGISTRATION

The secretariat operates for payments, collection of scientific
materials and general information.
We kindly ask each participant to pay attention to the following issues:
- the secretariat of the Seminar has its official site in Sala Florio
at Palazzo Florio
- Personal folder: each registered participant will be handed
an envelope containing a welcome letter, further information on the
Seminar activities, the forms for the enrolment in the social programme,
the statement of the payments and any supplementary payments
- Conference bag: it will contain the Seminar programme booklet,
tourist information, some typical products of Friuli and information
on the Proceedings and on the Refereeing procedure.
- Fee: it is necessary to complete the payment for the Seminar
at the secretariat, the total fee is 140 Euros and it includes: a)
organisation and mailing costs; b) Seminar programme booklet; c) Bag
with materials for the Seminar and tourist information; d) Typical
products of Friuli; e) Welcome party and coffee breaks; f) “Regional” dinner;
g) The book of selected papers produced by the Seminar.
- Accommodation
payments: the participants staying in hotels may settle the
payment at their own hotel. Hotels have received the deposit of
100 Euros for the participants who have sent it. The participants
staying at the Student Dormitory may settle the payment at the
Secretariat.
- Social evening: before 7.30 p.m. on the 1st of September it is necessary to confirm the participation and to complete the payment
for the visit to Villa Manin, the art exhibition and the social dinner
scheduled on the 5th of September. A contribution of 10 Euros will
be asked to each participant for the entrance ticket to the exhibition
and for busses. We remind that the dinner and the guided visit to the
art exhibition and to Villa Manin are offered by the Local Organising
Committee. partecipant.
- Trip: before 7.30 p.m. on the 1st of September it is necessary
to confirm the enrolment and to complete the payment for the trip to
Grado and Aquileia and the for the dinner scheduled on the 6th of September.
- Papers: you are kindly invited to hand in five copies of
your paper (four paper versions and one electronic version) for the
Book of selected papers produced by the Seminar.
MONDAY 1st September 2003
- 6 p.m. Welcome to the participants of the
Seminar in Palazzo Antonini. Registration and reception in Palazzo
Florio,
seat of the Rectorate of Udine University. University.

HOW TO REACH PALAZZO FLORIO
By car: there is a big parking lot in Piazza Primo
Maggio, just 5 min. walk from Palazzo Florio.
By bus: bus n.1 reaches Palazzo Florio, stops at Piazza San Cristoforo,
very close to Palazzo Florio, leaving from the railway station every
10 min. and passing through via Aquileia, Piazza Libertà and via
Mercatovecchio
From Hotel Friuli: only 10 min. walk or bus n. 10 which stops
in Piazza Primo Maggio just 3 min. walk from Palazzo Florio.
From Hotel Ambassador: only 10 min. walk through via Carducci,
via Vittorio Veneto and via Mercatovecchio or bus n. 1 in via Aquileia
at the rear of the hotel.
From ERDISU: only 10 min. walk through viale Ungheria, via Vittorio
Veneto and via Mercatovecchio.

WHERE THE SEMINAR TAKES PLACE: PALAZZO ANTONINI
Palazzo Antonini, an old city building of historical and
artistic interest, is located in the centre of Udine and was built during
the Renaissance by the Antoninis. It hosts the head offices of Udine
University since 1978.

POSTERS AND EXHIBITS
The entrance hall of Palazzo Antonini is devoted to the
poster exhibit. Room n.1 in Palazzo Antonini is partially devoted to
posters and to scientific and producer exhibits. The preparation must
be carried out by those concerned, who are kindly asked to contact Mauro
Sabbadini and Olivier Epee for technical requirements.
MEALS
All the participants are eligible to eat in the canteen
of ERDISU college which will be open from the 1st of September
2003. The complete meal at the special price of 7,00 Euros can be paid
directly
in cash at the secretariat.

LUNCH: 12 a.m.- 13.30 p.m.
DINNER: 7 p.m.- 8.30 p.m.
It is always possible for the participants to have a complete
meal at the special price of 6-12 Euros at the Restaurants “Al
Vecchio Stallo” - via Viola and “Ai Frati”, both near
Palazzo Antonini. Typical "friulani" menus have been arranged
for all participants presenting a card that can be asked for at the secretariat.
