At the Technical University of Munich a program aimed at improving the quality of teaching has been running for more than ten years. The program includes seminars, workshops and lecture coaching for assistants and professors. We offer rhetorical courses and explain how to define the goals of university courses, how to use power-point in university lectures, how to prepare oral examinations. There is also advice on building and installing lecture halls and seminar rooms with technical aids. There is no obligation to participate in the program, but several hundred colleagues have done this already. The program is set directly under the president of the university and has been endowed with sufficient funds to invite professional trainers.
